Everything you need to know about the Stokke Tripp Trapp and its accessories
We take you into the world of accessories for the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair. There is the old model Tripp Trapp and the new model Tripp Trapp. It is good to figure out which version you have and whether all accessories fit.
How do you determine whether you have an old or new Tripp Trapp chair model?
Question 1: Is there a notch on the inside of the wood near the backrest? (see picture)
If there is not, you have a new model. However, not every Tripp Trapp with holes is automatically an old model. This is because Tripp Trapp has produced chairs that fit both the wooden baby set and the plastic baby set.
Question 2: Does the serial number start with a 3 or higher?
If so, you’ve got a new model. You can find the serial number on the bottom of the chair legs. But what if the serial number is no longer visible, or you can’t find it? Then move on to the last question.
Question 3. Is the width between the backrests about 3.5cm?
If yes, you have a new model Tripp Trapp chair. The best way to measure this is to measure the space between the backrests on one of the ends of the chair. The old model has a space of about 2.5 cm and the new model measures about 3.5 cm.
Tripp Trapp old model vs new model | The difference is in the Stokke Tripp Trapp accessories
The biggest difference between an old model and a new Tripp Trapp model is in the use of accessories, such as the Newborn set and the Tray. Below we have made a comparison which accessories fit which model.
Conclusion: If you want to add different accessories to your Stokke Tripp Trapp, you will have more options available with the new model. This is most useful if you have a little baby and want to use the chair from birth. With children of 1.5 years old and up it doesn’t really matter which version you have. The Stokke high chairs are solid, made of sustainable materials and will last for years!
